Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Hampson is considered to be the front man of ninedays. As one of the bands founding members, Hamspon contributes his smooth vocals and brilliant talents as a songwriter. John Hampson and Nine Days had their first hit with "Absolutely (Story of a Girl)." John wrote the song about his wife Teresa. John has also released a solo album in 2004 titled seventeenminutesandthirtyeightsecondinthedark. John is married to Teresa Savino and has twin boys, Luke and Brody Hampson.
Brian Desveaux (Guitars, Harmonica, Vocals)
A native of Long Island, Desveaux founded ninedays with John Hampson in 1994. Desveaux's more raspy voice is clearly recognizeable from Hampson's and he brings a different and unique sound to nineday's music. In 2003, Desveaux wrote the song "Reality TV," which directly references ninedays' battle with their former label Epic/550 Records. In 2005, Desveaux released his full length solo debut entitled "Alive Today." Desveaux recently relocated from Long Island to Nashville, Tennessee and is currently working on a follow-up solo album and a new ninedays record.
